Trump Launches Into Tirade on Jeff Sessions

President Trump launched one of his most ferocious broadsides to date against Attorney General Jeff Sessions in an interview with The Hill.
Said Trump: I dont have an Attorney General. Its very sad. He added: Im so sad over Jeff Sessions because he came to me. He was the first Senator that endorsed me. And he wanted to be Attorney General, and I didnt see it. And then he went through the nominating process and he did very poorly. I mean, he was mixed up and confused.
However, Trump wouldnt say if he might fire Sessions: Well see what happens. A lot of people have asked me to do that. And I guess I study history, and I say I just want to leave things alone, but it was very unfair what he did. And my worst enemies, I mean, people that, you know, are on the other side of me, in a lot of ways including politically, have said that was a very unfair thing he did.
He concluded: Well see how it goes with Jeff. Im very disappointed in Jeff. Very disappointed.

Trump sees "people on the other side" are the democrats and he sees them as "his enemies." It is clear that he sees half the country as "his enemies."
Also, is there a single person who is "his enemy" who is telling him that Sessions has been "very unfair" to Trump? It's another lie.

He is speaking the exact opposite of reality here. "A lot of people" have asked him to fire Sessions? No. He wants to fire Sessions. The "lot of other people" around him are telling him that he can't, or it would be worse for him. Its they that are pushing him to "leave things alone".

(34,195 posts)Does Trump not have the guts to say "You're fired!" ???
He even could do it in a Tweet,
while Sessions is out of town.
Hasn't that been his style?

(14,732 posts)the Rethug leadership in the Senate has told him they won't confirm Session's replacement. They're at a standoff. But if one of the Senators (think initials L.G.) were to want to become his new A.G. then it would be a different story. Look for that change to happen after the mid=term elections.

(22,143 posts)should something serious go wrong? I mean seriously. Are we going to let these people actually let the country go to ruin because of these proven over and over again many times liar and incompetent?
We need to seriously think about protecting our country and what's ours. A big step can be taken Nov. 2018 by voting. Don't add to this mess by voting for these so called 'nice' republicans who attempt to avoid being lumped together w/ rump. Josh Hawley in Missouri is like this. Coward.
Continue to ignore rump, his cronies, and his stupid moronic utterings. If anything, issue rump a big made up award of the year called 'Moron of the year', w/ cameras etc. rump the narcissist should fall for this so easily.

(22,822 posts)gets too intense for him to handle. I see steam being released from his ears. And, as usual, the dumpster is making another very stupid mistake. First he dissed the FBI, CIA, NSA, et al, and now he's dissing the Attorney General. Not "his" Attorney General any more.

(3,256 posts)The whole purpose is to make it look like Sessions is actually not on his side an independent. His history speaks otherwise. We don't have an attorney general at this time. We haqve an old racist partisan hack from Alabama.
