Trump: Venezuelan socialist president easily toppled

Source: ABC News

President Donald Trump suggested on Tuesday that Venezuela's leader Nicolas Maduro could be easily toppled by a military coup and the U.S stepped up financial pressure by slapping the socialist president's inner circle with fresh sanctions.

"It's a regime that, frankly, could be toppled very quickly by the military if the military decides to do that," Trump said in comments on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly. "It's a truly bad place in the world today."

Trump declined to respond to questions about whether a U.S.-led military intervention in the crisis-stricken country was possible, saying he doesn't reveal military strategy.

Venezuela's leader Nicolas Maduro later appeared on state television, thanking Trump for sanctions that he called a badge of honor for those around him in a battle against what he calls an imperialist power.

but somehow I doubt that Maduro could be as easily toppled as Trump thinks. And I'm basing that on knowing that Trump is ignorant about pretty much everything, and hasn't a clue how ignorant he is.

The Venezuelan military is one of the most corrupt in the World, Chavez understood that and played it very well, he allowed the military to amass incredible fortunes. I have heard stories from someone who worked as a secretary for one general that he saw at parties how the would go into a separate room, bring suitcases full of cash and distribute it among them, and this happened all the time.

Last battle the Venezuelan military had was during Simon Bolivar when he liberated the country from Spain, we are talking the 1800s, and since then it has been all talk. In my opinion, they are the most corrupt and cowardly military in the World. About a month ago Maduro was conducting a military parade, a couple of drones exploded, and the military started running in all directions in panic, it looked like an anthill when someone steps on it, the ants start running in all directions, it was comical, reminded me of a Bennie Hill skit.

So trump is just talking nonsense, most of those military officials are part of the narcotics cartel that has been running in Venezuela since Chavez took power, Deosdado Cabello being their leader, and most of them cannot leave the country because they will be apprehended. Many did get out on time with bags of money and they are living the life of millionaires in "El Doral" in Miami. Why the US government has not apprehended them I don't know, maybe because of the money they stole which they are spending in the USA?

Those two words out of tRump's mouth should strike terror in the hearts of all Americans. He is not talking about Venezuela. He is pointing at Venezuela but follow the three fingers pointing back at him. When he is talking about someone else, he is actually talking about himself.

Having the USA as an enemy has been one of their primary themes.

7. Trump: We won't interfere in other nations. Unless we feel like it.

These threats come on the same day as a speech in which he claimed

"I honor the right of every nation in this room to pursue its own customs, beliefs, and traditions. The United States will not tell you how to live or work or worship."

and I bet no one believed him, because he spends a fuck of a lot of time telling other nations how to live and work.

10. If the USA, despite of having trump as a "leader" invaded Venezuela
Wed Sep 26, 2018, 08:03 AM
Sep 2018

this would be one time when the USA would truly be welcomed as liberators, a USA invasion would be welcomed, and it is something many Venezuelans continually dream of.

Why would citizens of a country hope for a USA invasion, you may ask?

Because the Venezuelan military is corrupt, they are part of the government, they for a drug cartel that extends all the way to Colombia, and some Central American countries. There is talk about MS-13 in the USA, well, they are part of that cartel as well, their interconnections are very impressive, and believe it or not, they pose an incredible danger to World balance. So unless there is an invasion that cleans up the Venezuelan government and its military, police forces, etc. Venezuela will continue to go deeper into the black hole they currently live in.

I would be very pissed if I was a Venezuelan who is opposed to the current government there. Now Maduro has some fresh new propaganda material to use. Trump is an asshat all around.

countries.

Given the economic pressure, I'm surprised Maduro and Chavez before him lasted as long as they have.

It's probably because the poor and middle class remember what life was like for then when the oligarchs were in charge.
