More than 20 million people watched Kavanaugh hearing

Source: AP

More than 20 million people watched the gripping testimony of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and the woman who accused him of sexual assault in the 1980s, Christine Blasey Ford, on six television networks.

-snip-

The Nielsen company estimated the viewership for Thursday’s all-day hearing on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Fox News Channel and MSNBC. There were other networks that covered it, but Nielsen did not immediately have estimates of the additional viewership.

20.4 million, according to some tweets I've seen, and as explained above, that still isn't the total.

It was on in our cafeteria when I went up yesterday, and this morning they showed the judiciary committee on that TV and there were about six really grim-faced women staring at it.

Millions will watch Kavanaugh's mental breakdown as he goes from a raging madman to a weeping hot mess right before their lying eyes, and they will question his ability to be a judge of flower show let alone the Supreme Court.

and I can say they stayed with it to the end, during breaks from court they had people talking no commercials all day.

But I didn't realize until I finally turned it off that I felt dirty and sick at the end. Even today it was too much. I felt steeped in filth.

That’s like NBA prime time level. Bigger than the World Series. I bet it was at least as big on the Internet.
