Some Witnesses Say They Called FBI In Vain As End Of Kavanaugh Probe Looms

Source: Reuters

12 hrs. ago.

Several people with information related to allegations of sexual misconduct against U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh say they have tried in vain to speak with the FBI, which is expected to wrap up its investigation this week.

Under pressure, U.S. President Donald Trump ordered the FBI investigation following a dramatic Senate hearing last week in which university professor Christine Blasey Ford detailed a sexual assault she says was carried out by Kavanaugh and his friend, Mark Judge, at a high school party in 1982.

However, the White House gave the FBI a deadline of Friday to provide the results of a week-long inquiry into the allegations - all of which Kavanaugh has vehemently denied.

The FBI has already interviewed Judge, who has denied any memory of such an incident, as well as at least three other people with information about the allegations made by Ford and a second accuser, Deborah Ramirez. - More.

He's previously recounted in detail his alcohol addiction and frequent blackouts of that era, setting up the perfect alibi for a probable reply to most questions: "Sorry, due to my affliction at the time I have no recollection of the events."

and profited, yet he can't recall anything of those years when questioned by officials regarding this serious national issue.

"Wasted: Tales Of A Gen X Drunk" (1997) by Mark G. Judge. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasted:_Tales_of_a_GenX_Drunk
Wasted: Tales of a GenX Drunk is a 1997 memoir about alcoholism, binge drinking, and hookup culture at Georgetown Preparatory School, written by Mark Gauvreau Judge. Judge recounts his early formative experiences growing up in suburbs of Washington, D.C. under Catholic school education. The author describes his secondary education at Georgetown Preparatory School as filled with heavy drinking and experiences of teenage alcoholism.

have come forward with info. is disturbing from the reports. In the article-

Ramirez was questioned at length by the FBI on Sunday and she provided information on 20 potential witnesses.
A Yale classmate of Ramirez, Dr. Richard Oh of California told Reuters he reached the FBI's Denver field office two times over the weekend but it's unknown if the representative he talked to passed on his statement. "I didn't get the sense that this person even knew what the Kavanaugh case was about," said Dr. Oh. "I was hoping to hear back from them for follow-up questions. I still haven't heard from them."

A Yale grad who lived in the same dorm as Kavanaugh, Mark Krasberg said he hadn't been successful in reaching appropriate FBI personnel in an effort to give "information which backs up part of Debbie Ramirez's story." He called the FBI's Denver field office, because Colorado is Ramirez's home state, and he sent several emails with Senate aides starting on Friday. There are others who tried to contact officials recently, as noted in the article.
