Feinstein Slams 'Incomplete' FBI Probe of Kavanaugh
Source: Daily Beast
After reading a report from the week-long supplemental FBI probe into the sexual-assault allegations against Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh, Senate Democrats claimed that the investigation was incomplete. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) said the most notable part of this report is whats not in it. What we reviewed today ... it looks to be a product of an incomplete investigation that was limited perhaps by the White House, she said, after reading the report Thursday. The Washington Post reported that the probe focused mostly on Fords allegation, rather than the allegations by Deborah Ramirez and Julie Swetnick. The newspaper was able to confirm that at least five witnesses were interviewed who had a connection to Ford or her allegations.

(7,142 posts)to investigate Bush/Cheney, but... the Repugs have a big ally covering for them, the M$M. Not only do Dems have to fight Repugs, they have to fight the reich wing corporate media. It's a tall mountain to climb but I agree with you, no more mister nice guy.

(282 posts)Both said it was a thorough investigation.
Flake said he'll be reading more of the report later.
Being reported that those interviewed were also asked about Kavanaugh's drinking and nothing concerning about it was mentioned..

(10,021 posts)Or friends of Ford unwilling to lie and say they witnessed the assault in real time (which they did not) so obviously no corroboration? I think the corroboration of the names with Kavanaugh's friends and parties on the calendar at least raise some doubt in Kavanaugh's testimony as to how he spent his leisure time.
Kavanaugh also obviously lied under oath about his yearbook page, his calendar notations, and his work under Ken Starr and the Bush administration. Kavanaugh also exposed himself as a anti-Clinton, anti-"left" GOP partisan hack that has no intention of being impartial.

(7,142 posts)Trump could have picked other right wing judges but this one will help derail Mueller.
1st item on the agenda; no more double jeopardy between Federal and state crimes. 2nd item on the agenda; pardons for all.
Republicans are trying to bulldoze Kavanaugh through before the midterms. The entire party is responsible for covering up Russia and Trump's crimes.

(123 posts)These ratfucks are just really really good at. Years of practice. They cheat, they lie, the blame Dems.
Obama should have pulled some shit with regards to Merrick Garland, come up with some "new rules" like that fucking turtle did to jam him with his pick, to instead "plow him right through" and onto the SCOTUS. Couldn't O have pulled something about the Senate refusing to do their job? I guess it would have set a precedent...but Jesus...GOP and this Orange motherfucking baboon do it daily.
I mean why are these ratfucks the only ones allowed to just make up new rules or outright cheat? Sick of it

This, "investigation" was all about giving the 3 Thugs cover for voting yes.

(1,366 posts)I thought they had till Friday for the report. Why finish early if you haven't finished. It's like a student turning in half a term paper a week before it's due.
If you are going to fake the investigation why telegraph it so blatantly?
As I say, I don't understand any of this.

(9,865 posts)...this a lot more forcefully.
The whole Dem leadership response is coming across to me like "thoughts and prayers".
Even her words "most notable part of this report is whats not in it"--- are words that could go either way for the middle of the bell curve. Does it mean the FBI failed to report or the FBI didn't find anything to report about Kav meaning nothing happened? Why do they have to talk in such convoluted sentences?
Why not just say "The FBI did not investigate many witnesses who were banging on the door to talk to them. Those witnesses were left out. The American people are never going to know if we let this stand as it is now."
