Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) on Thursday morning said the FBI investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was nothing more than a "cover up" by Senate Republicans.

Markey on "CNN Newsroom" said the bureau's probe, which did not include interviews with Kavanaugh or one of the women accusing him of sexual assault, Christine Blasey Ford, made a "mockery" of the Senate.

"It's obviously a cover-up," Markey said, as senators took turns reviewing the final FBI report throughout the morning. "The Trump White House, working with the Republican leadership in the Senate, have deliberately circumscribed this investigation so that only a small handful of people will be questioned."

The FBI interviewed nine people as part of the investigation, a significantly shorter list of possible witnesses than Democrats suggested.

Several Democrats throughout the week hit the bureau for not interviewing Ford, who last week testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee about her allegation that Kavanaugh sexually assaulting her during a high school party in 1982. - More...

I prefer "overpaid" to "rich" and "crime syndicate" to "oligarchs." No point in shining their dirty shoes with pleasant euphemisms... I hope other "undergrounders" will join me in this street-level linguistic change.

And while we're at it, please stop using "Landlord" —I suggest "property service provider" (especially for slumlords who take rent and won't fix anything).

Oh, oh! And may I recommend "dev dumper" (as in development dumper) instead of the frilly "gentrification" which only tickles the pride of the overpaid.
