Grassley to Christine Ford's Legal Team: Turn Over Communications With Dems, Other Kavanaugh Accuser

The confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh may be coming to a close, but the controversy surrounding Dr. Christine Blasey Ford appears to be ongoing.

Late on Thursday, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) sent a letter to Ford's legal team over evidence they would still like to receive including the therapist notes Ford has repeatedly referred to as documentation of her allegation against Kavanaugh as well as the materials from the polygraph exam she took in August.

However, Grassley is asking for a bit more than that:

(2) the alleged witnesses identified by Dr. Ford (Leland Keyser, Mark Judge, and Patrick 'P.J.' Smyth); and (3) Debbie Ramirez, Julie Swetnick, or their representatives."

It is unclear what "recently uncovered information" Grassley is referring to. But The Wall Street Journal [link:https://www.wsj.com/articles/friend-of-dr-ford-felt-pressure-to-revisit-statement-1538715152?mode2twreported] late Thursday that Leland Keyser was being pressured by "allies" of Dr. Ford to change her statement on the allegation against Kavanaugh.

Not sure this element changes Flake, Collins, Murkowski's thinking in any way if they are not sure (and I too have this VERY SLIGHT feel that maybe they aren't).

Turned on the TV yesterday afternoon, it just happened to be on MSNBC just as Cornyn and the other Rs on the judicial committee were starting to speak at a press conference and I lasted 30 seconds before I had to turn it off because I was hitting a rage level that I might have smashed the TV - Cornyn was aghast at how horrible the dems are, how such a great man and his family were being destroyed, and why would anyone put them themselves up in the future because of these kind of vicious attacks ...

22. Apparently, Leland Keyser told the FBI she had been contacted by Ford's friend and urged to clarify

her story. And the friend in question was Monica McLean, the FBI agent that Ford's supposed ex-boyfriend alleges she helped coach to pass a polygraph.

That's what Grassley is referring to.
