Michael Bloomberg drops $9.5 million on ads targeting GOP Reps. Rohrabacher and Knight in midterm el

Source: Los Angeles Times

Michael Bloomberg’s political action committee has launched a major ad campaign aimed at unseating Republican Reps. Dana Rohrabacher of Costa Mesa and Steve Knight of Palmdale.

The intervention by the former New York City mayor has further tilted California ad spending in Democrats’ favor in the final two weeks before the Nov. 6 midterm election.

Bloomberg’s Independence USA PAC reported spending $4.4 million on advertising against Rohrabacher and $5.1 million to promote Knight’s Democratic challenger, Katie Hill.

It is part of the PAC’s expected $11-million final push for Democrats in tight House races in California, with a small amount going to Mike Levin, who is vying to succeed retiring GOP Rep. Darrell Issa of Vista.

that they will always have more money to spend than Democrats. Maybe that's the key to undoing Citizens United.

I wish we weren't pawns in their game.

Which billionaire will protect me? Which one must I worship and call my savior?

Ich ! It makes me

I would love one person one vote with publicly financed elections.

to capture the House, California is so Democratic it is overlooked. The more GOP seats we can pick off in CA the better. This is a counter-intuitive move by Bloomberg. Very wise, and may yield the deciding margin in the House. In an election, in any election strategy, PLACE ALL BETS. Every vote is incremental, every vote counts.

has outlived his usefulness to the Russian Federation. Putin - except for rat-fucking American elections - will be backing away from American politicians in the near future. That means Trump, Rohrabacher, and a few other select pieces of Republican shit, will have to kiss the House of Saud's asses for their money now. I don't think Rohrabacher has the "right stuff" to switch horses in the middle of a stream. He's finished. Trump can suck ass with anyone, anytime. When he falls he'll always land on his bulbous stomach and never suffer a scratch.

From what I've seen both of these seats are very likely to be a democratic victory. Another case of big money wating to curry favor with the side that's winning. If he spent it on lean R districts it would be better spent IMO.

This area is desert and the new housing means RED voters. I live in California and I always thought the conservatives lived in the "fringe" areas within California. The housing must be fantastic to attract RED voters. This is also a defense industry area with bases and jet construction. I live in a foot hill area in middle northern California and it is also rural and RED..........These RED NUTS want to divide California to make another RED state out the FRINGE areas(40% of the state.) It is great that 75% of states and congress have to approve. I think all the conservative states would approve of this ABORTION........
