Despite temp of 4 below, more than 300 show up for Sherrod Brown's kick-off rally

Source: Columbus Dispatch

BRUNSWICK, Ohio — History will record that it was 4 degrees below zero when America’s 46th president launched the campaign that won an improbable bid for the White House.

Or not.

Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown rallied home-state supporters Wednesday night on the eve of heading to Iowa to launch a multi-state Dignity of Work tour that will play a critical role in deciding whether the Democrat formally will join the multitude seeking the 2020 nomination.

“We fight for our progressive values. We fight for the dignity of work. It’s who we are. It’s how we govern. It’s how we won. And it’s how we’ll win in 2020,” Brown told more than 300 who showed up despite the deep freeze.

His weak voice and weak posture stand out as signals to me.

As my Senator he answers every email I send him. First an email from the office, then when he can find the time a personal answer.

But the first time I really noticed him was, when he flew back from Ohio from his Mothers funeral to cast the deciding vote for the ACA at midnight.

His wife,

I didn't say that. I still wonder why it is that he appears that way in TV interviews and when speaking from the floor? Weak raspy voice, poor slouching posture. Has something changed recently? Maybe it's just the flu or a bad cold.

Thank you so much! Actually, it's more of a personal opinion than a "judgement".

Sherrod Brown, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, etc., any of whom I'd be thrilled to support in 2020.

And then a few not so great ones (Howard Schultz) who seem to be throwing their name in the ring for personal gain.

I'm holding of choosing a candidate to support for a little while. There are some people who may or may not announce their candidacy.

Of course, once we have chosen the democratic candidate, I will do everything I can to get him or her elected.

He can bring in the Midwest for us. And I like what I've heard of his policies. I like that strong, raspy voice. Especially compared to tRump's whine.

Pair him with Kamala Harris (will bring in both coasts), top or bottom, and that's a very strong ticket.

I hope he and the others get a great deal of exposure and opportunity to share their experience and vision with the country. Looking forward to it.
