I was just driving calmly to the grocery store, until I heard this NPR story about Romney campaigning in Northern Virginia, angling for the women vote. Romney actually claims that Obama is responsible for increasing wealth disparity in the US!!
How can this man even breathe in his miasma of lies??

(35,392 posts)that Obama is for $5 and up a gallon gas, and in the next breath, claim that he's keeping the gas prices low, so that he'll get re-elected.
And then they'll say that he's shooting up the prices.

by changes in the shares of aggregate household income by quintiles, the Gini index, the
Theil index, and the Atkinson measures. The Gini index showed a 1.6 percent increase from
2010. This is the first time the Gini index has shown an annual increase since 1993, the earliest
year available for comparable measures of income inequality (Tables 2 and A-2).
A slack labor market is responsible for this, so I don't think you can blame it on Obama, but incomes in the US are declining.

(16,984 posts)It's bad enough that Romney, with his history at Bain (and what that meant for hundreds of American workers) and of course his proposed round of cuts in programs (and cuts in taxes for TOP incomes...), should presume to talk about stagnant income and/or promise higher wages (I see nothing in his 59 points that will address that).
But what really burns me up is that Karl Rove's group has been running ads for months in an effort to target women in the sandwich generation (i.e., with aging parents and dependent children). There's much wringing of hands that insurance premiums are rising and "Mom's Medicare has been cut," etc., etc.
Well, then, where was the Rove empathy/sympathy/outrage when premiums were going up during two Bush terms? Or when the buying power of ordinary people took hit after hit? Or when stable, gainfully employed people were completely shut out of the housing market due to the bubble?

(5 posts)REMEMBER THIS: Its rather curious that Mitt Romeny & Paul Ryan are staunchly pro lifers; however Mitt Romeny is a greedy money grubbing bastard who has made $50,000,000.00 million (USD) while he was trash bagging dead babies which he serviced through Stericycle / Bain Capital; Mitt Romeny has no soul, no shame and is a repugnant despicable human being that is lower than whale poop. It appears to be one of the reasons he denied being in control of Bain Capital; A issue that we now know he has been lying about all along, Which comes as no surprise as he is a pathological liar, a true sociopath.
