At President Kennedys inauguration, I heard him speak of the energy, the faith, the devotion that will light our country and all who serve it and the glow from that fire can truly light the world. It is inspiring that the award itself is a manifestation of that light.

That energy, faith and fire have inspired my work in the Congress and as Speaker, and it is my hope that my receiving this award will encourage others to pursue public service, and lead with courage, conviction and conscience.

(28,272 posts)I don't agree with Madame Speaker on each and every issue, but nobody is more worthy of this award than she is.
And I bet that trump is gnawing on his own liver that Caroline Kennedy isn't presenting the prize to his sorry ass.

(11,885 posts)While trump deserves a profiles in cowardice awards , and any other awards given to liars that are out there. He tried to con the people with the Nobel peace prize awards, and got caught it looks like. trump's a coward and he knows it, and lied to stay out of Vietnam by privilege, then watched as others protected his rights by serving.
