Labour's hate files expose Jeremy Corbyn's anti‑semite army (NSFW)

A hard drive of emails and a confidential database last updated on March 8 reveal how the partys system for dealing with such complaints is bedevilled by delays, inaction and interference from the leaders office. They reveal members investigated for posting such online comments as Heil Hitler, F*** the Jews and Jews are the problem have not been expelled, even though the party received the complaints a year ago.
The partys Jewish affiliate passed an almost unanimous no confidence motion in Corbyn today after the revelations.

Jewish Labour Movement
Yesterdays Sunday Times carried some of the most appalling examples of Labours anti-Semitism crisis seen to date. What was so offensive was not just the ugly, racist insults themselves, but the reaction of the partys and leaderships hierarchy to them. Add them to the pile. Dont fast-track anything.
The Sunday Times claimed a total of 249 cases of alleged anti-Semitism had been reported to the party and not acted on. It was clear was that the partys defence that everything had changed since the appointment of Jenny Formby as general secretary last year simply doesnt hold water.
Perhaps the most offensive case reported yesterday relates to a shocking email sent in February to two Jewish MPs: our new parliamentary chair, Ruth Smeeth, and Margaret Hodge. Given the highly misogynist as well as anti-Semitic language used in the email, a junior member of staff allegedly sought to prioritise action against the perpetrator but was rebuffed by the head of complaints.
So, just a matter of weeks ago, the newly- fixed, free of political interference complaints system was found to be as compromised and failing as it has been over the past few years.

(397 posts)Since Harold Wilson - who was forced to quit by the Establishment, the UK has never been allowed to have a true Labour Government.
One of the key parts in keeping Labour from getting power is Rupert Murdoch, proprietor of the Sunday Times.
The only time a nominally labour leader was endorsed by Murdoch, was Tony Blair. Blair was described as Thatcher as her 'greatest achievement'. Blair was annointed by Murdoch after too many scandals made the Tories unelectable. - Tony Blair, as well as being a poodle to Bush, was totally owned by Murdoch - he is godfather to one of Murdochs kids.
The playbook for keeping Labour leaders out of power is so predictable, it should be laughable. From Wilson, through Tony Benn, Michael Foot, Neil Kinnock and now Corbyn, first attacks have been that they don't dress smartly enough, they show disrespect by not wearing the right thing or not behaving the right way at things like remembrance day events. - Corbyn was widely attacked for not attending a government lunch event following Remembrance Day - photos were later published showing that Corbyn had missed the lunch because he had stayed at the memorial and eaten sandwiches with the veterans who had attended - this was not wodely reported.
After questions about their 'respect' for the country and veterans, they will be labelled a threat to national security because they are largely pacifistic. This will later morph into being a danger because they have 'supported terrorist' groups.
Corbyn has weathered all this and is hugely popular as leader of the Momentum side of the Labour Party. His critics in the party are Blairites, the ones now accusing him of antisemitism are the same ones who claimed their offices were under attack from Momentum members - the police actually made statements that these claims were untrue.
The article seems to suggest that Corbyn should go because Labour Party politicians have (claimed) to have received antisemitic messages? A strange connection, would you blame AOC for abuse she gets?
If you don't have a list of which Blairite MPs have been up to such mischief, a simple way to identify them are that people like Tom Watson, Jess Phillips and others have all accepted offers to attack Corbyn as guest writers in the Daily Sun. - the UKs biggest (right wing) tabloid. - owned by Rupert Murdoch.
Corbyn is not antisemitic, but has expressed support for the people of Gaza. And the other reason that Corbyn is now under attack for being antisemitic is because it is a last ditch attempt to damage his support from Labour members who find racism unacceptable.
If the Labour Party were racist, claims that their leader was racist would be fine with them. The fact that the media are attempting to slander him in this way is evidence that his party opposes racism. - but trust his track record and stand behind him.

(62,415 posts)I have just learned a lot from your post.
I have recently been so confused on why labour would stick with Corbyn - based on US media reporting (including NPR) - for that matter I never understood Blair.
Now I have some insight.
Would be nice if you could turn this into an OP of its own.
And a big welcome to DU and a big thank you.

(73,631 posts)Walker, a pro-Palestinian, Black Jewish woman and supporter of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, contested the definition of anti-Semitism at a training session in 2016 conducted by the Jewish Labour Movement, which conflated anti-Semitism with criticism of Zionism. Further, several decontextualized comments she made on Facebook were used against her in what became a long and abusive smear campaign.
Walkers experience and consequent expulsion show direct parallels to the recent defamation of Rep. Ilhan Omar. Further, the use of Walker by Zionists and their allies to incriminate Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn is reminiscent of the targeting in the United States of Representative Omar, leaders of the womens march and those close to Sen. Bernie Sanders.
Walker co-wrote and has performed a one-woman play, The Lynching, as a means of communicating her viewpoint in an otherwise complete media bias and/or boycott against her. Meanwhile a new documentary film, WitchHunt, details her account. Walker has received the endorsement of multiple Labour Party grassroots groups and prominent intellectuals, including Noam Chomsky and others.
Truthout spoke with Jackie Walker about the campaign waged against her and the weaponization of anti-Semitism by Zionists to silence critique of Israel, target BDS activists and fragment the left.
