President Trump’s attorneys and the White House are moving to resist a growing number of congressional requests for information, increasing the likelihood of a protracted legal fight that could test the power of congressional subpoenas.

The building battle will shape how much material House Democrats will be able to obtain about Trump’s policies and personal finances through multiple investigations launched by various congressional committees.

White House officials are already digging in their heels on a slew of requests related to Trump’s actions as president. The administration does not plan to turn over information being sought about how particular individuals received their security clearances, Trump’s meetings with foreign leaders and other topics that they plan to argue are subject to executive privilege, according to several aides familiar with internal discussions.

White House Counsel Pat Cipollone and the president’s legal team are preparing for an extensive legal battle, if necessary, over subpoenas from Congress, aides said

power by wreaking more and more havoc with our laws, constitution, and norms.

To sit back and watch this play out is no longer an option. Expose all the Mueller evidence, his tax returns to the American voters through a House Impeachment open Judicial Committee investigation where Lawrence Tribe (constitutional lawyer at Harvard Law) has said there is legal precedent (Watergate) that the House can get this evidence.

The IRS, for example, "shall" provide tax returns to a congressional committee when requested. That's codified, but they're not doing it. And that's just one of many examples. The fact is that none of the democratic congressional committee heads has a clue or else they don't really care. Our system of government is hopelessly broken. The house has no real power, apparently. If anyone claims it does, it's meaningless if they never exercise it.

enter into an Impeachment investigation will allow us to get our hands on this evidence sooner (per Lawrence Tribe, constitutional lawyer at Harvard Law). There is precedent (Watergate) and it was backed up by the appeals court.

Since Trump's two money laundering fines in His casino are history, there must be something else to hide. Personally, I don't think it's simply His possible embarrassment at being caught in a lie about His wealth. There have been so many proven lies and we know He doesn't care.

There are good reasons the Treasury Financial Crimes unit keeps renewing the GTOs that target money laundering in NY and FL real estate; Ivanka's project on training wheels, the Panama tower, was run on this model. Manhattan real estate tax records are public, you only need to know the street address and guess an apartment number, so it's likely probable cause has been established.

There should be no politician immune from any sort of full and open disclosure, from taxes to corruption and scandal to bribery.
