The move on Monday is part of the panel’s investigation of whether President Trump obstructed justice.
In a statement, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), chairman of the committee, said the panel was seeking public testimony from McGahn, describing him as a critical witness to many of the alleged instances of obstruction of justice described in special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s report.
