President Trump on Friday spoke for the first time on the record about measles outbreaks that have taken place across 22 states so far this year, instructing parents to vaccinate their children against the highly contagious and occasionally deadly virus.
What he said: "They have to get the shots. The vaccinations are so important, this is really going around now. They have to get the shots."

Ive seen it, he said at the second main-stage GOP debate on CNN Wednesday night.
You take this little beautiful baby, and you pump it looks just like its meant for a horse," he said of vaccines.
"Weve had so many instances ... a child went to have the vaccine, got very, very sick, and now is autistic."

(5,914 posts)Medicaid pays for childhood immunizations. The US government would rather pay for your child to have a shot in their arm then pay for them to end up on a ventilator in a hospital for weeks with an illness that could easily have been prevented by that shot.
