Barr considering possible rule changes at DOJ in wake of Russia investigation: report
BY JOHN BOWDEN - 05/17/19 08:38 AM EDT

Attorney General William Barr is considering changes to Justice Department protocol because of the surveillance of U.S. citizens in the investigation of the 2016 election, remarks likely to add to the debate around President Trump's charge that his campaign was spied upon.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Barr confirmed that he was reviewing the Justice Department rules that surrounded the investigation, while offering no specifics on what changes could be on the way for the agency.

“Government power was used to spy on American citizens,” he said. “I can’t imagine any world where we wouldn’t take a look and make sure that was done properly.”

“Just like we need to ensure that foreign actors don’t influence the outcome of our elections, we need to ensure that the government doesn’t use its powers to put a thumb on the scale," Barr continued.
....

His comments about possible impropriety at the Justice Department come the same day as some of Trump's harshest rhetoric yet concerning the investigation into his campaign: In a series of tweets Friday, the president referred to the probe as "treason" and called for jail time for those responsible.

3. When do we investigate their investigation of the investigation?

Oh right, it’s been about two month’s since the Barr Summary and we have neither seen an unredacted Mueller Report nor do we know when we’ll hear from Mueller. Meantime, they get to infect the airwaves with their counter-narrative, with no shortage of taunts for Madame Speaker included. I’ll go back to keeping my powder dry now.

ENFORCE the damn subpoenas. They are in major contempt so treat them accordingly. Actions speak louder than stern letters and shame on you tut tuts.

5. If Russian spies are trying to cultivate and recruit people in the US

it's OK to listen in on why they are COLLUDING with. That's why the wiretaps were LEGITIMATELY allowed.
if it's an American citizen COLLUDING with Russia to aid Russian spying, then it's perfectly OK to wiretap them.
sorry Carter Page et al.
the only reason we LEGITIMATELY spied in US citizens was when they were COLLUDING with Russia AGAINST the USA. That makes them RUSSIAN AGENTS.
and anyone who tries to cover up for them is as well. Got it Billy?

Just like we need to ensure that foreign actors don’t influence the outcome of our elections,

What he means is:

We need to ensure foreign actors, and their MONEY, get Dumpo elected. Dumpo needs the cash.

7. Crafty Barr misleads again. American citizens spied on? NOT. To be exact, Trump's crooked campaign

after ignoring warnings, and with probable cause, surveilled. So only those FBI had probable cause to believe were colluding with Russia—and they all connected to Trump and acting on his behalf, more likely behest.

Go ahead and change them and the next potus and all will ignore them. Can't make a case to follow them when the current crook and his posse don't follow the existing rules.

12. Just imagine what this does to our intelligence people,

if they do their job but if it is critical of the narrative that Trump/Barr are putting out there, they are going to be investigated and subjected to possible jail time. Trump is putting on a push to pack the courts with Nazis and he is also taking control of our intelligence agencies. FBI director Wray made 1 statement that went against the Trump narrative and it almost cost him his job, it still might.

Still waiting for a lion of the Senate to step forward. Still waiting for our presidential candidates to step forward and take on Trump. Trump/Barr are controlling the narrative right now.

Keeping our powder dry may very well be the best political solution to removing Trump from office, but it will only work if we have fair elections.

We need to go to paper ballots in as many states as Democrats have power, and quickly.

If he has evidence any surveillance was not by the book, let's see what it is. Otherwise, shut the F up.
