Trump says he will roll out new health care plan in next couple of months
Source: The Hill
President Trump said he'll be rolling out a new health care plan in a couple of months, saying it will be a key focus in his 2020 reelection campaign.
"We're going to produce phenomenal health care, and we already have the concept of the plan," Trump told ABC News in an interview aired Sunday night.
"We'll be announcing that in two months, maybe less," he added, when prompted for specifics.
Trump said "we almost had health care done," adding that ObamaCare "is a disaster," but "we've made it serviceable."

(37,648 posts)"It'll be the BEST health care!" You know how he talks.
All they did was keep trying to repeal the ACA, and they tried to pass one pitiful bill that I don't think anyone liked.
What they DID do, though, is stop the mandate provision, which directly addressed the complaints of a demographic group that had voted Democratic but switched to Trump. And they allowed short term plans to be sold again, so people could buy some sort of policy they could afford.

(37,648 posts)The ACA was harming a group of people. Making it so that some were taking from their household budget to pay for premiums, but were unable, still, to have decent health care. Those voters voted for Trump. He & the Repubs did a couple of things to make their situation better.
It could have been fixed in another way, I'm sure...but the Democrats didn't address the issue. I reported the issue many times to different people. No one either believed it or cared. That's still the case, as far as I can tell. Your answer indicates that you don't care about them. You didn't suggest an answer, say that something else should or could have been done. You didn't ask any details or show any concern for the people. Your answer was just...well, we need them to throw in their money from their retirement accounts so we can give it to these other people, so THEY can have good health care.
A good program does not rely on harming a productive group of middle class citizens in order for it to succeed in helping others, IMO. Something could have been done, and should have been done before the election. At least some plan devised to give the people hope.

Clueless. What is "phenomenal" healthcare? There's no such thing in the real world. The man is a carnival barker.

would increase the number of people who are uninsured by 23 million in 2026 relative to current law.

A little bit better: leaving 22 million uninsured in 2026 relative to current law.
Both can only be described as acts of American Genocide. We need to call the GOP the American Genocide Party.
