Pelosi to Reject Latest White House Debt Limit Offer Over Cuts

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is rebuffing a White House demand for $150 billion in spending cuts as debt ceiling deal negotiations continue, according to a Democratic official close to the talks.

The extended talks mean Congress and the White House will be pushing up against Pelosi’s deadline to get a deal on spending levels and the debt ceiling done before the House leaves town for its August recess. The Trump administration late Thursday gave Democrats a menu of $574 billion in savings options from which to find $150 billion to offset the costs of a two-year budget cap agreement.

Roughly half of the administration proposals are cuts and the others come from reforms, two people familiar with the proposal said. One of the suggested reforms is the drug pricing plan from the White House’s 2020 budget, which would save $115 billion, one of the people said.

Mnuchin has said that under one of the Treasury Department’s most conservative estimates, the U.S. will be at risk of defaulting on payment obligations in early September -- before lawmakers are scheduled to return from their summer recess on Sept. 9.

All we have to do is rescind the republican tax cut for the 1% and corporations, and then close the loopholes that allow the "rich" to pay no taxes. Cut all aid to countries that have less debt than the US, and that have their own National Health care, like Israel. Stop all aid to ME countries who are rich with oil. Stop trump's golf $, stop all federal spending at turmp properties, stop taxpayers having to pay for trump rallies, his 4th of July party where only Republicans were invited etc etc.

Kill the tax theft bill and add 10% tax on all millionaires and billionaires. Charge all corporations 35% tax and make all corporations like Walmart and Amazon who aren't paying taxes, pay back taxes for all years they escaped taxes. Make Robert Mercer pay the 7 Billion he owes in back taxes etc.

Make all business who have relocated out of our country to pay a special tax to sell their products in the US, like the trumps and Idumbka trump.

PS Trump is now working on cutting $$$ from SS and Medicare and Medicaid.
