Ohio GOP rep announces support of military-style weapon ban

Source: The Hill

Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio) said Tuesday he supports banning military-style weapons and implementing "red flag laws" in the wake of two mass shootings, including one in his own state, that took 31 lives over the weekend.

The Ohio Republican said while he’s a strong supporter of Second Amendment rights, he believes action needs to be taken to prevent “mentally unstable people from terrorizing our communities” with assault weapons.

“I will support legislation that prevents the sale of military style weapons to civilians, a magazine limit, and red flag legislation. The carnage these military style weapons are able to produce when available to the wrong people is intolerable,” he said in a statement.

“We must pass red flag legislation to quickly identify people who are dangerous and remove their ability to harm others. Too often after mass shootings, we hear there were early warning signs that were ignored.”

Apparently his daughter was in the area where the shooting occurred. So supporting the NRA wasn't a problem until it affected him personally.

thousands of rounds of ammunition in their possession considered dangerous?? To me he/she surely is.

I was at the store with my son and 4 year old granddaughter recently. I've since wondered what I would do if I lived in an open carry state and a young man was in the same aisle in a hoody perhaps carrying a rifle.
If that person raised that rifle even slightly I honestly believe I would attempt to do them great bodily harm prior to him doing anything else.

This is what the Orange Douche has created in our country.
