ICE DIRECTOR SAYS IMMIGRANT PARENTS 'ULTIMATELY THE ONES THAT ARE RESPONSIBLE' FOR BEING SEPARATED FROM THEIR CHILDREN
BY JASON LEMON ON 8/1AT 2:52 PM EDT

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) acting director Matthew Albence has blamed immigrant parents for agents separating them from their children, arguing that they are responsible for being detained.

"The parents or the individuals that are breaking the law are ultimately the ones that are responsible for placing their children in this situation," Albence said in a pre-recorded interview with NBC Nightly News, which will air in full on Tuesday evening.

The immigration official made the comment after he was confronted with a video of a crying child whose father was detained by ICE in a large raid in Mississippi last week. Gabe Gutierrez, who was interviewing Albence, asked what he would say to the young girl.

Pointing out that some ICE agents deal with separating families on a daily basis, he argued that the agency conducts "operations with professionalism, with compassion and with humanity."

They are already doing what they want with families - now that they feel like they are getting away with it, they are dancing on graves.

Picture Hitler trying to dance a jig with his entourage after accepting the surrender of Paris. Then remember how he hid like a coward in his bunker less than a few years later.

No one is going to forget any of this.

There's the old saying: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”― Edmund Burke

But then on another level there's the men who **volunteer** to do the evil and are blind to it....

I know DU always hates law enforcement but ultimately it was those parents who knowingly and deliberately broke the law. They did the crime and now they need to suffer the consequences of their actions. I still judge this issue like Obama did and I get disgusted by all the extremist stupidity I see here on this issue. Illegal means illegal and they need to go.

This extremism will hurt dems come election time.
