(17,136 posts)I last saw the movie at the Drive Inn in 1967- I figured it was time to see it again, with young Peter Fonda in it.
I recently bought a DVD of his movie Fighting Mad. I'd recommend it to any Peter Fonda fans.

(51,627 posts)is how his family wishes his fans to respond to the news. I just saw Fonda talk about Easy Rider on CNN's The Movies. He was planning on a Sept celebration for the 50th Anniv. Interesting timing with this 50th Anniv of Woodstock.
"The 50th anniversary of the film just past on July 14th, and Peter was planning a concert and screening for September to celebrate."

(343 posts)No, I mean it, you got a nice place. It's not every man that can live off the land, you know. You do your own thing in your own time. You should be proud. (scene from Easy Rider)
You bet Peter. You did your own thing in your own time. RIP

(4,546 posts)Haven't seen it in years and years. The first time I saw it was with my good friend, Gloria, that iconic summer of '69. We were so awed we sat through it 2 or 3 times in a row. I will watch it again and "raise a glass to freedom" tomorrow night.
