New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has abandoned his long-shot campaign to win the Democratic Party's 2020 presidential nomination.

He announced his decision Friday morning on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

New York City needs a full-time mayor and de Blasio has been MIA while he pursued his incredibly unlikely campaign.

I voted for him for mayor and frankly, he needs to focus on his job.

He wanted to be a national progressive savior.

The best thing he could have done for the progressive movement is be a good mayor.

...is that he'll come back to NYC to be Mayor for another two years...

8. I couldn't figure out what he expected to accomplish by entering the race for the nomination anyway.

It seemed to just be all ego on his part.
He certainly doesn't have any draw outside the city, and not even a whole lot of support in the city.
