Pelosi: Attorney general 'has gone rogue'
Source: The Hill
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) accused Attorney General William Barr on Friday of going "rogue" in his efforts to protect President Trump from the fallout over a whistleblower complaint related to Trump's conversations with the president of Ukraine.
During an interview with MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Pelosi argued that Barr was part of a White House "cover up" of Trump's call to Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky, during which Trump asked Zelensky about the possibility of launching an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden.
"He's gone rogue," Pelosi said. "I think where they're going is a cover-up of a cover-up."
"I think it's sad, to have a Justice Department go so rogue," she continued. "Well, they have been for a while. And now it just makes matters worse."

(6,916 posts)Note in the whistleblower complaint, the whistleblower describes how the Trump admin was using the Hill to launder Republican lies.
Thats because the Hill is owned by a Trump-fundraiser billionaire who slants their coverage.

This is why Republicans win elections: propaganda that we dont know about.
Next lets do Washington Examiner. Or WSJ.

(1,568 posts)For the longest time I always thought The Hill was a little bit to the left, or at least more neutral. At least based on the articles that I recalled reading on it. That could be just due to the fact the only time I click on a The Hill link is when it's coming from here or someone I follow on Twitter.

(2,860 posts)I saw the tent city that was set up there at the time. It was empty, but it was brutally hot even in December. This is apparently the site where they later built the prison. It's kind of in a valley surrounded by hills. There was no breeze at all, and it just cooked. I felt really bad for all the people that where intercepted at sea and kept there. I'm OK with Trump being kept there though.

Those few who are disgusted with how things have gone, need to stand up and let their voices be heard. Risk being attacked, be congratulated by the rest of us for having Conviction and Principles.

(15,411 posts)It was the Republicans (the minority) in the Senate who revealed the taping system. They may have believed the tapes would support Nixon's version of events. I bet Fred Thompson kicked himself when he later learned it led to Nixon's downfall.
My Dad was a Republican then and took Nixon's side UNTIL the smoking gun tape (Nixon saying they would get the head of CIA to tell the FBI to drop the investigation into Watergate. That conversation was 6 days after the break-in but not released until a couple of days before Nixon resigned). I remember asking my Dad the morning it hit the papers (I was 23) if he still thought Nixon should stay and he said no.
I also found it interesting that Sasse (I think, or some other Republican Senator) said yesterday that 35 Senate Republicans would vote to impeach Trump if it was a "private" vote. Sounds like that leaves only 17 or so foaming at the mouth Trump supporters.
Still, chickenshits. Unless polls start to favor impeachment more.

Let's not impeach them, let's indict them.
