Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said on Wednesday that he was dropping a plan to send House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) a letter warning that Republicans wouldn't remove Trump from office over a Ukraine phone call.
Graham, asked about the letter, told reporters that he was instead going to offer a resolution condemning the House's impeachment inquiry process.
"No, I'm going to do a resolution saying that the process I think is unfair," Graham said, asked if he was still sending the letter to Pelosi.
Graham first floated the letter earlier this month during a "Fox & Friends" interview, saying that he was going to ask other Senate Republicans to sign a letter to Pelosi saying that they "do not believe the transcript of the phone call between the president and the Ukraine is an impeachable offense."..................................

(2,900 posts)Whats unfair is a group of Constitutionally bound politicians storming a secure committee meeting today; impeding the progress of an investigation into the potential nefarious & illegal actions perpetrated by a corrupt government official and his co-conspirators...

(57,489 posts)Well, that's not quite right. But the Queen does bear a resemblance to Lindsey Graham.
Sentence First Verdict Afterwards
Let the jury consider their verdict, the King said, for about the twentieth time that day.
No, no! said the Queen. Sentence first - verdict afterwards.
Stuff and nonsense! said Alice loudly. The idea of having the sentence first!
Hold your tongue! said the Queen, turning purple.
I wont! said Alice.
Off with her head! the Queen shouted at the top of her voice. Nobody moved.
Who cares for you? said Alice, (she had grown to her full size by this time.) Youre nothing but a pack of cards!
At this the whole pack rose up into the air, and came flying down upon her: she gave a little scream, half of fright and half of anger, and tried to beat them off, and found herself lying on the bank, with her head in the lap of her sister, who was gently brushing away some dead leaves that had fluttered down from the trees upon her face.
Wake up, Alice dear! said her sister; Why, what a long sleep youve had!

Hedge your bets.

(5,134 posts)like any career politician, he is just making sure he is not in the crosshairs, even as he tries to shield his trophy president. But, as the evidence mounts, you can be sure that he and all the long term career politicians will show the ship rats a thing or two about deserting the sinking ship. They have not remained in office because of their good works... (except for the top most percentile who don't care who is in there as long as they will allow this oligarchy to continue).

The republicans don't have a patriotic cell in their body. They are 100% enablers of the turd.
Every single one of them should be charged with treason for refusing to address that their fearless leader is nothing more than a PROVEN russian asset.

(42,862 posts)Whenever I hear him talk with his exaggerated "Southern Gentleman" mannerisms and accent, it makes it hard for me to take him seriously. He's become such a cartoonish caricature of himself. It's almost as if he's impersonating a SNL impersonator... just getting more outlandish and exaggerated with every telling and with every new version.
What an embarrassment he is for SC. He's a complete PHONY! Everything about him is a LIE!

(218 posts)... there weren't going to be that many co-signs.
Republicans are getting nervous.
No one has any idea what's going to happen next week, or the week after, but the odds are that it will be bad for Trump.
Who wants their name on a letter saying you're prejudging a case that's almost certainly going to be a moral junkyard fire..?
