Trump-Russia dossier author gave evidence to UK intrusion inquiry

Source: The Guardian

Exclusive: Report allegedly being withheld by No 10 contains submissions from ex-head of MI6’s Russia desk.
A report on Russian interference in British politics allegedly being sat on by Downing Street includes evidence from Christopher Steele, the former head of MI6’s Russia desk whose investigation into Donald Trump’s links with Moscow sparked a US political scandal.

Steele made submissions in writing to parliament’s intelligence and security committee (ISC), it is understood. A counter-intelligence specialist, Steele spent his career tracking Russian influence operations around the world and investigated Alexander Litvinenko’s 2006 murder.

Steele’s privately commissioned dossier on Trump and Russia – leaked in January 2016 – said that the Kremlin had been cultivating the future US president for at least five years. In April the US special counsel Robert Mueller corroborated Steele’s central claim that the Russians ran a “sweeping and systematic” operation in 2016 to help Trump win.

Remember the dossier?
I wish the impeachment would put all this together, but it would take too long to link all of it.

I hope the impeachment works, AND REMOVAL, ASAP!!

is that what all of this has uncovered is a long-established, deeply-ingrained criminal organization, whose level of corruption has been carefully hidden and percolating under the surface of a distraction-creating group of GOP circus clowns. And when you lift that lid, you see what would amount to decades worth of time needed to investigate it all.

As an example, The Atlantic had a whole piece on Manafort and his long-time dealings alone and others have looked at the likes of Guiliani, including his Ukraine connection.

This is ripe for a full-blown RICO investigation into the GOP politicians who are involved but it would need to be separate from the impeachment process. The one HUGE key when it comes to the Congressional tie-in and need for an investigation, is Dana Rohrabacher, who for 30 years, brought Russia into Congress, capping off his career (later followed by an election loss thank goodness), with his involvement with Mariia Butina (in coordination with the NRA).

Anyone who lives in a city that has had major mob/gangster investigations and trials (like Gambino/Gotti in NY/NJ or Scarfo/Merlino here in Philly), knows of the complexities of the "underworld", most of which is generally focused on "local" turf. However in the case of the GOP, that type of operation has been expanded across the ocean and around the globe, operating in the same way as the mob, but doing so internationally, when it comes to engaging in bribery, extortion, influence-peddling, money-laundering, and racketeering.
