'All is well' Trump tweets after Iran hits Iraq bases housing US troops

Source: The Hill

President Trump late Tuesday said "all is well" after Iran fired missiles at two military bases in Iraq that house U.S. troops and coalition personnel, adding that he would make a statement Wednesday morning on the attacks.

"Assessment of casualties & damages taking place now. So far, so good!" Trump tweeted.

"We have the most powerful and well equipped military anywhere in the world, by far! I will be making a statement tomorrow morning," he added.

Early reports indicated that there were no U.S. casualties in the missile attacks, though that could change pending the final assessment.

Like something out America: World Police: Paris in flames, Eiffel Tower on the ground " "All is well"

Or more recently, Australian PM Scott Morrison, New Years message - country ablaze, frightened children in boats, fleeing the fires ...

“There’s no better place to raise kids anywhere on the planet, and we’re all so grateful that we can live in this amazing country, and that’s something we can always give thanks for as we enter into their new year.”

when a smaller kid has the nerve to stand up to him and gives him double shiners and a split lip in front of the entire school. Too stunned and embarrassed to strike back immediately, he pretends that he felt nothing. "Ha! That didn't even hurt." Internally he is seething, but determined to save face in front of everyone.

Trump does about faces so quickly that it's like watching the kid's head do a 360 in The Exorcist. From dire threats of anihilation to "All is well." Who knows what he will say in the morning? Or 2 days from now? Somehow, he will spin this to a personal victory and move on. That's my guess for now. But he is vindictive, even continues to fight with McCain's ghost. This will resurface at some point again, I suppose.

a backroom agreement between Trump and Iran.
In other words there were those that feared that should the general decide to run for higher office that it would threaten their power so they wanted him removed as a threat so they reached a mutual deal with Trump.
The US removes general for Iran and then Trump can use it to shore up his battered image from the impeachment where as Iran can use the anger over the killing to shore up their power base.
Then Iran tells the US "Ok, we need to calm our more aggressive core some after this so we need to arrange a staged attack".
Trump and his people say though "Ok, just let us know when and where so we can move our personal out of harms way" that way it avoids giving to much power to those in the US that might want to escalate it further.
In the end both are left happier as the Iranian leadership has removed a political threat and Trump is happier as it takes everyone's mind off his criminal act that led to his rightly being impeached in the House.
