Iran says it does ‘not seek escalation or war.’

Iran has “concluded” its attacks on American forces and does “not seek escalation or war,” the country’s foreign minister said in a tweet on Wednesday.

Moments later, President Trump said in a tweet that he would make a statement on Wednesday morning about the conflict, and suggested that damages and casualties sustained by American forces were minimal. But he also said the assessment of the attacks was ongoing..................

to bloviate about how he has to go after the Iranians. Might be why he's late this morning -- some poor sap has to re-write the speech in kindergarten language.

Hee hee hee.

He will find a reason to escalate. He is an incompetent mess and he will fuck this up because he is a fuckup.

I hope I'm wrong and someone will talk him out of his usual MO of doubling down when he's wrong or lied.

13. I'm betting it's because of the Ukraine 737 that may well have been hit by an Iranian missile.

and I'm actually starting to fear that he is indeed the "chosen one". Nothing ever, ever seems to to adversely impact this turd - he just gets stronger and more powerful. Truly a teflon man.

towards the entire thing from the start being an elaborate scheme by the Trump admin and Iran.
Iran to remove the general as a threat to the power of those currently in power in Iran and the US because Trump needs something to distract and rally his base for the criminal act he committed that led to his impeachment in the House.

I thought the Iranian response was the minimum they could do.
It seems they didn't want to create American casualties and were not interested in escalation.
I to thought the Iranian government might secretly be relieved to be rid of Salimani. And, although they greatly dislike Trump, they didn't want the radicals to steer the nation towards a larger conflict and possible war with the United States.

It could very well be that this was planned in advance by both countries. The end result is the elimination of a troublesome general, and perhaps an opportunity for renewed diplomatic contacts.
