Tulsi Gabbard suspends presidential campaign, endorses Biden

Source: Axios

Tulsi Gabbard announced Thursday that she will suspend her 2020 Democratic presidential campaign and endorsed Joe Biden.

The state of play: While she was one of the final three candidates left in the race, alongside Biden and Bernie Sanders, the Hawaii congresswoman failed to gain traction in any primary and hadn't qualified for a debate since last year.

She did pick up two delegates in the caucuses in American Samoa, where she was born.

What she's saying: "I know Vice President Biden and his wife and am grateful to have called his son Beau, who also served in the National Guard, a friend. Although I may not agree with the vice president on every issue, I know that he has a good heart and is motivated by his love for our country and the American people," she said in a campaign email.

I figured she had dropped out weeks ago, and no one bothered to report it. When Warren dropped out, she said it was now just between 2 men. Tulsi wasn’t on her radar even back then.
Well, good luck to her in her future endeavors.

This is signifigant. The anti war movement has won in the court of public opinion in this country and this was her main issue. The fact that Biden’s website says he wants no more wars in the Middle East is huge. Her endorsement is valuable. Biden’s website promise is huge. I am delighted. We need to all come together on this issue and support Biden. We lost a brother in law for a lie war in Vietnam. My husband, a missionary brat, grew up in the Middle East when the US was building educational infrastructure there and we had a positive influence in the region. We watched that being destroyed in our lifetimes and it broke our hearts. Biden will usher in a new era.
