Population of Calif. is 40,000,000 persons. If 59% become infected and IF we follow the death rate (which is predicted to happen) of Italy, we are looking at a death rate of approx. 20%, mostly elderly and that number is: 4,480,000 people.

If we get damn lucky it could be less if we ISOLATE ISOLATE ISOLATE and TEST TEST TEST!

WE ARE FUCKED.

dump knew and did not tell the people!

I don't know how long I can last.

Walmart does not deliver FOOD to where I live.

Rural areas really suck at times!

I went to Walmart at 5 am a couple days ago. I encountered more employees than shoppers. They all wore gloves I think, but social distancing was maybe 2 feet at times instead of 3. Young people are not taking this seriously.

I saw the tail end of a YouTube about an hour ago, guy said chick weed, tops of wild onions and some other purple and green weed with 4 little bell flowers were all edible. I do have some seeds to make sprouts.

Maybe eBay or Amazon has some food.

or pick up service. Also Amazon and Whole Foods do same day delivery. Target in some areas have delivery service available as well.

There is a Target but abt. 20 miles from here.

I've never used amazon.com much so I'll have to check that out as well.

Thanks for the ideas.

I've used grocery delivery before and for me, it was very convenient, especially in the winter. My son is putting in a grocery order at Hannafords here and will pick it up this weekend, which will eliminate any unnecessary human contact.

and pickles are salty. Not for older folks. I did binge on Vlasic Dills at one time.

I just did inventory. I have 9 lbs of brown rice, 4 lbs lentils, 4 lbs barley, 3 lbs split peas, 3 lbs oatmeal, 2 lbs linguine, 11 lbs ww flour.

It sounds like a lot, but bread is gone, I can't find anything but white bread, and can't tolerate potatoes. So these will be a staple 2ce a day. And the peas are old and don't soften very well.

If the workforce gets really infected, young people, supermarkets may not even deliver.

He'd cook the grits, then melt the Velveeta into them, let cool, then cut into eight wedges. One wedge made a meal. He worked at a fast food restaurant and got one burger per shift free.

It's no wonder he ended up with malnutrition!

Accessories to murder

The charge of accessory can be brought against anyone who helps someone else commit a crime, but who does not participate in the actual commission of the crime. There are various ways an accessory can help the criminal, including emotional or financial assistance, as well as physical assistance or concealment.

And I'm in California. I tried. No test unless you are practically at death's door stop.

Or, you are famous. Then you get to go straight to the head of the line. Regardless of symptoms, or how severe they are, or, are not.

I hope they can come up with some sort of test down the road to see if we actually had it. For those people who don't have severe symptoms, and cannot get a test, it would be really interesting to see what the numbers really are.

How I would love to be able to get that test. If I did have it, and I am now immune, I would be one of the people who could go out and do a whole lot more for everyone else.

I very much doubt I could talk my doctor into getting this test for me. She probably doesn't want anyone going into a lab unless it is absolutely necessary. Can't blame her. Would rather not go into a lab if I didn't have to.

But, there are a whole lot of people in this country who will get it and survive it. And we need to know who those people are. They would end up being the worker bees. And I have a funny feeling I'm probably one of them.

Mar 2020

During the CA wild fires a lot of us got N95 masks to deal with the smoke.

Wondering if there is a safe way to donate my unused masks? It's only part of a bot of 10, but at this point I'd rather see a health care worker who needs it have them. Maybe if more of us who got them during the wild fires donated them it might help a bit.

Gov set up a drop off in the state capital.
