Bipartisan Senate report says 2017 intel assessment about Russian interference and Trump was accurat
Source: nbcnews.com
A bipartisan investigation by the Senate Intelligence Committee has validated the January 2017 U.S. intelligence assessment describing Russia interference in the 2016 presidential election including Russian efforts to help Donald Trump describing it as accurate, thorough, and in keeping with long-established practices.
The Committee found no reason to dispute the Intelligence Communitys conclusions," said Chairman Richard Burr, R-N.C.
The new report by the Republican-run committee which examines how the assessment was put together undercuts long-standing criticisms by some of President Trump's supporters that the assessment overstated Russia's activities.

It doesn't matter what they found or what the DOJ IG found, Bill Barr is going to have John Durham concoct a BS story that will drop in October.

(9,090 posts)those 1500 coordinated radio stations do the groundwork uncontested repetition
media needs to investigate russian use of talk radio since at least 2008 when manafort was mcccain campaign co-chair and limbaugh wouldn't support him untill mccain picked palin - who was being wooed by russian oil and gas.. 2009 climategate, with wikileaks involved. 2011 debt default. etc then 2014 is the year sam nunberg says he "listened to 1000s of hours of talk radio" for trump, the same year a russian troll says they "got a list of topics to write about". also 2014 russian tool jerome corsi and limbaugh spent a good part of oct 2014 yelling about obama bringing ebola here. that stopped immediately after the election when GOP turned 9 senate seats and a lot of congress. and why is hannity's name redacted completely in the muelller report even though he is mentioned incidentally several times and should be there between graf and hawker. some if not a lot of the mueller report redactions have to do with talk radio - redactions around stone, corsi, credico - all long time talk radio operatives, not social media geniuses.
and considering 2014 and ebola success why wouldn't trump try to use covid in 2020? trump would be stupid enough to talk into it, unable to see the difference. media needs to get it. the signs are there.
yeah they're going to make up more shit on biden and unless dems stop ignoring talk radio , which is very vulnerable right now, it will continue with great success, the most important and only unique media advantage they have - because we ignore it.
when the left get serious about talk radio the ad industry will have to breaak up the monopoly and the GOP senate will have to turn on trump, realizing those radio stations might not be there to defend their bending over for trump.

Working journalists are facing enormous challenges in their work and over-leveraged media companies often cut jobs to cut costs. Only paid investigators are likely to have the time and energy to investigate ties between right wing media and Russia, while not needing to worry about feeding their families and paying their bills.

(9,426 posts)Also, isn't it time to release the Mueller report in full, unredacted form? What is STILL being hidden? I was so upset with Mueller, for not speaking out when Barr made mincemeat of the report. All those dedicated people worked hard to get to the bottom of the corruption. Mueller let them all down, by keeping quiet after the report was released in a few pages of propaganda. I honestly thought Mueller was an honorable man. I was wrong. Typical toadie for tRump.

(9,090 posts)use of it.
in the glossary there are only half a dozen redactions. a few total redactions of names and brief descriptions and several partial redactions of descriptions after stone, corsi, and credico - all long time related to talk radio aand not social media geniuses. one of the totally redacted names is right between graf and hawker, exactly where hannity should be because he's mentioned incidentally several times in the report
it's fucking amazing media is still so lame on rw radio

(6,265 posts)of a potus had all help mentioned. Yet I find that the point being missed is that trump the court jester is the one that sat on the king's throne in his absence, leg over arm of chair swilling his wine, issuing empty edicts to the unwashed masses while the real powers mcConnel, Putin, Xi, the Saudi prince's are creating the madness in this world. Covid is something they probably did not count on, but are using it to their advantage. To keep a people in fear is to make them vulnerable to the first strong man to come along and say, I will save you. Trump is following the orders of many while in being the weakling that he is follows the real 'strongmen' behind the throne while trying to appear strong. The jester was supposed to be the foil, he is the clown that is the foil.

"..the most cynical viewer could scarce have imagined, in the fall of 2016,
* ON 19 OCTOBER 2016, in the third and final presidential debate, Hillary Clinton opined that Vladimir Putin would rather have a puppet as president of the United States, meaning Donald John Trump, than a formidable adversary like her. As Trump short-circuited like a Star Wars droid on the fritz (No puppet. No puppet. You're the puppet!), she continued:"
HRC ~
"Its pretty clear you won't admit that the Russians have engaged in cyberattacks against the United States of America, that you encouraged espionage against our people, that you are willing to spout the Putin line, sign up for his wish list, break up NATO, do whatever he wants to do, and that you continue to get help from him, because he has a very clear favorite in this race.
So I think that this is such an unprecedented situation. We've never had a foreign government trying to interfere in our election.
We have 17 intelligence agencies, civilian and military, who have all concluded that these espionage attacks, these cyberattacks, come from the highest levels of the Kremlin and they are designed to influence our election. I find that deeply disturbing."
*As usual, HRC was right. But even the most cynical viewer could scarce have imagined, in the fall of 2016, just how on the nose she was.

Speaker Pillosi cannot do it all alone. State AGs, judges, Governors should be calling for the impeachment of Barr then Indictment of the fake president.
