GOP lawmakers ask Supreme Court to block Tony Evers' order to stay home

MADISON......................

"Purporting to act under color of State law, an unelected, unconfirmed cabinet secretary has laid claim to a suite of czar-like powers — unlimited in scope and indefinite in duration — over the people of Wisconsin," the complaint reads.

Republicans are seeking to curb Evers' power over how the state responds to the virus outbreak by bypassing lower courts and going straight to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, which is controlled by conservatives.

Fitzgerald and Vos argue the restrictions in place under orders signed by Department of Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm shouldn't apply to rural counties with many fewer cases of the virus than cities like Milwaukee and Madison.

"Just as troubling, the Secretary asserts that her go-it-alone shutdown authority has no expiration date — making it greater than even the Governor’s emergency powers," the complaint says. "... by the time the Secretary sees fit to lift her decree (be it in five weeks or eight months), many Wisconsinites will have lost their jobs, and many companies will have gone under, to say nothing of the Order’s countless other downstream societal effects. Our State will be in shambles."

Our Democratic Governor, Tony Evers, is under attack by Teabagger hangers on, Vos and Fitzgerald, who were part of the Teabagger/Koch/Walker mafia.

The majority in Wisconsin wants rid of these fuckers, as witnessed by the recent Democratic Supreme Court win over an incumbent right wing Walker asshole, Kelly. But the illegal gerrymander keeps many of these scumbags in office. That and Republican cheating on elections with Jim Crow Id's, and cutting voting polls and cutting absentee, and trying to cut registration, etc.

IT SUCKS.

Now they want to kill even more people.

Something is wrong with the Wisconsin Republicans, and it's really frightening. I've always thought of Wisconsin as a fairly progressive place - and I think it still is - but there have really been some shenanigans the last 10 or 15 years.
