But, at least on the front end of this crisis, Americans werent deciding what to do based on politics. Americans living in red states appear to have taken the crisis plenty seriously; data shows that residents there were staying home well before their governors issued stay-at-home orders.

(107 posts)I loaded up the last week in February on hand sanitizer, rubbing alcohol, and aloe gel both for my home and our office staff. My boss laughed at me at the time. I work in a medical office. 😧

(1,616 posts)Def no laughing now, and everyone is very appreciative we have plenty of hand sanitizer in our office and in the nurses personal kits when they hit the road to visit patients. I still havent had to buy more.

(31,516 posts)that I think are best. It will be a while yet before I feel comfortable going out to eat or have my hair done. For the foreseeable future, I'll be carrying, masks, gloves and hand sanitizer with me at all times.

(4,889 posts)But some still don't get don't it. We ventured out yesterday so my friend could deposit her stimulus check. The bank is drive through only, Walmart uses masks and social distancing but Pruetts, other grocery store, has a teenaged greeter in a mask wiping down carts and that is IT. No masks, nothing, just a few of us old people in masks & gloves. Who knows if the stockers even wash their hands? We won't be back. Morons.
