Fallon Black Lives Matter Protest Ends With Hugs
Source: KTVN 2 news
A Black Lives Matter protest in Fallon on Monday ended in a different way than you might expect. You've seen the rallies and the riots breaking out all over the country, including right here in Northern Nevada. But this protest might bring a smile to your face.
"Black lives matter," screamed protesters. "All lives matter," screamed counter protesters. Yelling coming from both sides of the Black Lives Matter rally in Fallon. Pro-Black Lives Matter protesters rallied with signs on one side of the street, while those who opposed the movement stood on the other, many with guns. But by the end of the rally, animosity from both sides of the rally had given way to discussion.
"We all want peace. Yes we do," said Max Ryan as he hugged protest leader Ladaysha Dula. Aggression was replaced by hugs. Ryan wore a gun to the protest to make sure the it didn't turn into a violent riot.

"What ended up transpiring, I don't think either one of us saw happening. The parties came across each other's line. And they said they come in peace. So I said if you come in peace, then give me a hug. And the next thing I know we were having a civilized conversation, educating each other. It's kind amazing what one hug can do sometimes," said Ryan.
