The city of Tulsa announced a last-minute curfew that began Thursday night and will continue Friday and Saturday, restricting people from a large area surrounding the arena where President Trump will hold his first campaign rally in months.
An executive order signed by Mayor G.T. Bynum (R) says the curfew, which begins at 10 p.m. and lifts at 6 a.m. both nights, is intended to quell potential overnight violence as thousands intend to pour into the city to protest the presidents visit.
Its unclear whether the Trump supporters who have camped out for days to secure a prime spot to see the president on Saturday will be cleared out as well, but some videos posted on social media appeared to show people leaving the area carrying tents and lawn chairs.
The police informed Bynum that individuals from organized groups who have been involved in destructive and violent behavior in other states are planning to travel to the City of Tulsa for purposes of causing unrest in and around the rally, the order reads........................................................

I think having Trumps face plastered on the US flag is disrespectful--and disgusting.

(9,426 posts)a million requests for tickets have been filed. Yeah, right! The people who attend should seek mental health help ASAP. Who would risk their lives for this orange blob of empty promises? The fact that ANYONE wants to attend, listen to this clown is proof positive that we need better educational systems in this country. I would advise any protesters to stay away, let the boogaloo bois do their thing here. Why risk their health for this loser? I hope the venue, plus the city have collected their fees ahead of time, since tRump is notorious for leaving unpaid bills behind. Hey, taxpayers, YOU will have to pay for this clown show.

But I know there is hope - when I was 10 my father, who was a big racist, had me spouting the glories of George Wallace to my 4th grade class.
Thankfully a few years later I was totally onboard with the Anti-war, Anti-Nixon and Civil Rights Movements of the 1970's. I worked for the Carter campaign when I was in high school and college.
I guess I am still making up for those bad days - being a fervent progressive and activist, though I must admit it was only this year that I really understand what the BLM protesters are saying to me.
I'll be doing my best agnostic penance the rest of my life to make amends.

I never thought in my lifetime I would have witnessed the (attempted) fascist takeover of America.
But then again, I never thought this country would elect an IGNORANT FUCKING IMBECILE as it's leader....
