Sacramento Black Panther Turned Preacher To Stump For Romney

Source: cbs

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) –A local former Black Panther turned preacher is now being embraced by Mitt Romney supporters.

As the presidential election nears, Dr. Phillip Goudeaux of Calvary Christian Center in Sacramento has been invited to speak at rallies in five of the swing states where it’s still a close race.

But CBS13 political analyst Steve Maviglio, a Democrat, says when he learned conservative black pastors from across the country have been personally invited by Romney supporters to hold rallies in critical swing states, he wasn’t surprised.

“They are getting paid to pray essentially,” Maviglio said. “I think its one of these dirty tricks by the Romney campaign.”

I've lived here my whole life and had association with many of the ex-party comrades, and he is one of them. People have been talking about how he betrayed the cause of liberation for decades. Nothing new or strange here. Some today are right-wing, common liberals, Islamists, but a few maintain their original orientation.

Amazing. People ought to vet Romney's religions writings and history before supporting or praying for him.

He even ran for their U.S. Senate nomination in Cali in 1986.

In some ways, it may just be attention-getting behavior.

I hear he's temporarily diverted from his crusade against campus liberalism in order to call Grover Norquist a practicing Muslim.

Which is a thread on this article:
http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/horowitz-abedin-hiss-norquist-muslim-subverting

It excerpts an interview last Friday (9/28/2012) of Horowitz by "Christ-centered" radio host Janet Mefferd on her show. Horowitz is still flogging the Huma Abedin "Agent of I.S.L.A.M." garbage. According to him, Norquist is a Muslim 'infiltrator' within the Republican Party:

Horowitz: We have a medieval enemy with twenty-first century technology aimed at us, they’ve infiltrated our government. If you wondered how it’s possible that Obama and Hillary would not know or would pretend what was happening wasn’t happening in the Middle East or how they could turnover Egypt as they have to the Muslim Brotherhood, which is the fountainhead of Al Qaeda and all of these terrible Islamic Nazi organizations, the answer is not really hard to find: the chief adviser to the American government on Muslim affairs, Hillary Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, Huma Abedin, is a Muslim Brotherhood operative and she has been all her life, and her whole family is. This is worse than Alger Hiss, for those in your audience who are old enough to remember, Alger Hiss is a Soviet agent who was right next to Roosevelt at Yalta.

Mefferd: It’s very true and yet you had these five congressmen, Michele Bachmann and the others, who tried to say the inspectors-general need to look into this, and even Republicans stood up on the floor and said no!

Horowitz: You had Boehner and McCain, and McCain is just bonkers. But the Republican Party has also been infiltrated. Grover Norquist is a Muslim, he is a practicing Muslim.

paint the Black Panther Party with the same brush as say . . . the Weathermen.

What you have here is more of the double standard they're (in)famous for.

Obama/Ayers = "palling around with terrorists".

Romney/Goudeaux = respectable Republican spokesperson.

And plenty of churches in America worship a golden elephant. Time to take them off of welfare and tax all the churches.

It might be worth noting that J Edgar Hoover's FBI had thoroughly infiltrated the Black Panthers with people like Richard Aoki (whose story was just told on NPR's All Things Considered).

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/08/20/report-fbi-informant-armed-and-trained-black-panthers/

In fact Hoover had Fred Hampton and Mark Clark murdered in their sleep. A little tidbit Clinton Eastwood's "J Edgar" left out.

The same is being done in New York. Prominent black ministers telling their congregation they shouldn't bother to vote because President Obama supports gay marriage. I am not surprised. Republicans want to keep people poor and poor people are very good at filling pews and collection plates.
