Trump reportedly pushing new unproven coronavirus treatment that is also embraced by HUD Secretary

Source: businessinsider.com

President Donald Trump is eyeing another unproven coronavirus "cure," at the recommendation of Housing and Urban Development Sec. Ben Carson, Axios reported Sunday.

Oleandrin — a botanical extract from the oleander plant — was suggested to the president by Carson in a meeting in the Oval Office in July, according to the Axios report.

MyPillow founder and CEO Mike Lindell, who's known to have be well-connected with the president, also expressed support for the experimental extract. Lindell also has a financial stake in the company developing the oleandrin product, Phoenix Biotechnology.

Lindell told Axios that Trump "basically said: …'The FDA should be approving it,'" regarding oleandrin as a potential treatment for the coronavirus.

He wants to sow chaos, and make a buck. Killing people is just extra entertainment value for him.

It's the only explanation that makes sense.

Anyone who willingly falls for a Trump scam at this late date can go right ahead and waste themselves, as far as I'm concerned. They're doing their level damnedest to kill the rest of us by supporting this idiocy.

metastatic Cervical cancer & I made my own extract. It's used in the back of beyond in South Africa to treat AIDS patients & does display antiviral properties. That said, I wouldn't believe anyone in this bunch, ESPECIALLY Ben Carson if their tongues were notarised...AND just because it has worked for people who have AIDS, (SOME people), does NOT mean it'll do diddly squat for CoV19. Google OLEANDER SOUP. Its been used for THOUSANDS of years to treat cancers, TB & various other issues in the near east, north Africa, the Horn of Africa & some areas in the Levant. Now, JUST BECAUSE IT WON'T KILL YOU, does NOT mean that it doesn't have rough side effects. It makes Senna look like a cup of hot cocoa.

I know how to extract Oleandrin but it's NOT something that people should just willy nilly pick & brew tea from, UNLESS they want to end up looking "CASKET SHARP".

All parts of the oleander plant contain cardiac glycosides, including the roots and the smoke produced from burning, as heat does not inactivate the glycosides. The toxic component are the two potent cardiac glycosides, oleanderin and neriine, which can be isolated from all parts of the plant, Both are very similar to the toxin of Foxglove.[4] Both have positive inotropic, negative chronotropic, and cross reactivity. This includes direct glycoside poisoning of the sodium-potassium pump of the heart and increased vagotonia.

Most symptoms from oleander poisoning are cardiac and gastrointestinal in nature and appear four hours after the ingestion.

Of course, just that the orange is “prescribing” again, people will try to self medicate.
He needs to just stfu and go away.

Oleander is a poisonous plant, a common shrub in warm climates, planted for its pretty red flowers.

Every year someone would die just from chewing on a bit of leaf (or using a leaf to decorate a pitcher of tea), or using an oleander stick to roast their hotdog. IIRC, it paralyzes the muscles and ends up paralyzing your breathing ability.

I can see plenty of MAGATS making tea . . .

you'll have schlock places that can't or won't process these poisonous botanicals and/or other natural products correctly, leading to severe side-effects and fatalities.

And using it for another distraction away from all the virus deaths , and away from trump allowing putin to put bounties on our service members. Introducing another look here drug is just another ploy used to control the news with from trump. Media needs to stop showing these things like this , but instead run it over and over again for him. HE also is aware the Democrats are starting their convention today, and this is a staged and planned story for attention away from it now.

My favorite way to bump somebody off is sauteed amanita muscaria over a bed of oleander greens.

I think this is eugenics at its most pernicious, they're trying to murder their own cult.

Plenty of Oleander growing in in the Red State of Florida. Believers could start making Oleander leaf salads or tea from the flower growing in their backyards.
But, as always, he's not responsible. tRump and the Pillow guy got it all figured out.
