Claudia Conway, the 15-year-old daughter of Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Trump, is seeking emancipation from her parents, she said on social media.

On Saturday night, after allegedly learning that her mother will speak at the Republican National Convention this week, the teen tweeted,"I’m (devastated) that my mother is actually speaking at the RNC. like DEVASTATED beyond compare."

In a follow-up post, she wrote: "i’m officially pushing for emancipation. buckle up because this is probably going to be public one way or another, unfortunately. welcome to my life. /snip

my mother’s job ruined my life to begin with. heartbreaking that she continues to go down that path after years of watching her children suffer. selfish. it’s all about money and fame, ladies and gentlemen.

I agree that the George vs Kellyanne routine does seem a bit contrived at times. I've always believed that Kellyanne stayed as long as she did so she could be an inside source later down the road, probably in a tell-all book. If that's the case, I think she waited too long. There are only so many provocative insider books that people will buy and the market is full of them right now.

I doubt that a judge is going to grant KellyAnne's daughter emancipation based on this particular event or even the fact that she is employed by Trump. Her daughter could see it on other grounds, such as "My parents work all the time and don't take care of me".

23. It depends on the state. Here in PA, the age of emancipation can be 16

and Claudia will be 16 this October. In NJ, where Kellyanne was born and where the family lived before they moved to D.C., the laws are more nebulous, and are similarly nebulous in both D.C, and in NY, where George has generally been living apart from Kellyanne the past few years. A court order would be required in his own home state of MA.

I expect Claudia's public announcement (which apparently has been simmering in viral-land for some time) triggered the result that we see with the "stepping down" of Kellyanne - notably too because there are 3 other (apparently younger) children in that household who are most likely being negatively impacted by the nonsensical and bizarre performances that their parents have played out over the past 4 years.
