Trump and RNC sue Montana over mail-in voting

The Republican National Committee and the Trump campaign have sued the state of Montana in federal court to cut back voting by mail statewide.

Montana's Democratic Gov. Steve Bullock, who is also running for US Senate this year, issued a directive last month allowing counties to expand voting by mail and early voting "at their local discretion," including mailing ballots to qualified voters.

Montana already allowed voters to request and submit absentee ballots without explaining their reasoning.

Bullock's approach to making ballots more accessible to voters during the pandemic "coupled with ... a nationwide push by the Democratic Party for the same measures, clearly reveals that the Election Directive is less about protecting the health of Montanans and more about enhancing the Governor's electoral prospects, along with those of his political party," the Republicans wrote in their suit filed Wednesday.

I would think that Trump and the RNC would have no standing in this case.

(barring a Bush or Trump appointed judge who has a political interest in helping Trump as well as his fellow conservatives) is if the state was seeking to prevent people from voting.

3. Yeah, and fighting accessible ballots is more about enhancing Trump's electoral prospects

WTF? So because the Democratic Party is in favour of increasing the ability to vote, during a pandemic, it is an automatic that that means they are cheats. They are just admitting that making it easier for Montanan's to vote, means Democrats will win. And that is supposed to be an evil thing? Sorry Donald its more like "It is what it is"

....Trump and or his Campaign Staff and or Bill Barr and the DoJ have no standing
in a Montana State Court to file such a suit.

BTW The republicans are worried about losing Montana?

9. They filed the case in federal court not state but regardless the courts proper ruling should be to

throw it out as the state is not trying to block people from voting by putting hurdles in front of them which imo is the only time the federal courts should get involved.

clearly reveals that the suit is less about protecting the health of Montanans and more about enhancing the Governor's opponent's electoral prospects, along with those of his political party
