McCain: 'Not enough of an economist' to weigh in on jobs report
By Daniel Strauss - 10/05/12 01:32 PM ET
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) refused to fully throw out the idea that the Obama administration manipulated the most recent jobs report.
"Frankly I am not enough of an economist to question exactly what those numbers," McCain said Friday on CNBC.
McCain appeared on the business channel to discuss the WARN Act and the possibility that the Obama administration had violated it by telling defense contractors to send out layoff notices in response to the possibility of looming sequester cuts.
"I wouldn't put anything past this administration," McCain said in reference to the Obama administration violating the act.

I really don't think it's too much to ask someone who's been in Congress that long to have some grasp of employment numbers.
he was a big enough of an economy wonk to suspend his campaign and fly back to Washington, sit like a bump on a log, and 'fix' the economy back in September of 2008.
He could run his mouth then but he stays quite now?
Interesting.

McCain was good at two things. Protecting bankers during the S&L thing and crashing airplanes during his time in the Navy and nether one has anything to do with economics or asserting a violation of the law.

(404 posts)Four years of deliberately opposing any legislation that would improve the lives of Americans or make the president look good has resulted in job growth.
This proves the GOP theory that less government is the best route for the country. Vote for them and absolutely nothing will be done to improve the lives of Americans. This is proven sound government policy & good for America.

(8,200 posts)He was a nasty little bastard in prep school, a underachieving student at the Naval Academy who only got in because his father was a admiral and would have been kick out if he wasn't. A lousy pilot at best. When he found out his wife was crippled in an auto accident he dumped her for a rich dope addict who could buy him a seat in congress. It is truly amazing that a scum bag can magically become hero and run for president. Like they say, Only in America.
