Delta to Bring Heavy Rainfall, Gusty Winds and Isolated Tornadoes to the South on Saturday

Source: WEATHER.COM

Delta will continue to weaken as it tracks across the South this weekend, where it will bring locally heavy rainfall, gusty winds and a few tornadoes.

Delta is moving northeast at just over 15 mph and is expected to weaken over the Tennessee Valley.

Rainfall associated with Delta is affecting a broad area from the lower Mississippi Valley into parts of the Southeast.

NOAA's Storm Prediction Center has issued a tornado watch for southeastern and eastern Alabama and western Georgia until 8 p.m. CDT or 9 p.m EDT. This watch area includes Atlanta and Columbus, Georgia and Dothan, Alabama.
