Biden says Romney revealed true self with '47 percent' remarks
By Peter Schroeder - 10/11/12 09:53 PM ET

Vice President Biden swung hard at Mitt Romney's secretly recorded remarks that 47 percent of Americans do not take personal responsibility for their lives.

President Obama was criticized by Democrats for failing to mention the remarks, which Romney made at a private fundraiser earlier this year, in last week's presidential debates.

But Biden pounced Thursday night during his vice presidential debate with GOP running mate Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), using the comments to paint Romney as a candidate more interested in helping the nation's wealthy than the middle class.

"It shouldn't be surprising for a guy who says 47 percent of the American people are unwilling to take responsibility for their own lives," he said.

That is the most devastating statement Romney made, not the "victims" quote. And Joe NAILED IT by quoting that one.

LOVE YOU JOE! YOU'RE MY HERO!

First of all those 47% pay all manner of taxes at a % of their income that far exceeds the income tax paid by the 53%.

They pay payroll taxes, sales taxes, gas taxes, etc. If they are on a very low income they could be paying sales tax on over 70% of their income (if we assume 30% is rent/housing).

The wealthier may pay income taxes but when you average it out against income...the ones paying income taxes may pay, as a % of their total income, much less than the 47%.

So fuck you Robme and Lyin-Ryan.

Biden knocked it out of the park. If ever there was a would be King running for POTUS it is Robme and lyinRyan. Queen Anne would make the sacrifice of being First Lady. His majesty would make war upon anyone who does not recognize his superiority. Prince Ryan eagerly waiting in the wings for his coronation. The christofascists rubbing their hands in glee as they establish a theocracy that would make lovers of the Inquisiton gleeful. And for those not in the inner circle woe and agony.
