Amid fears of violence at inauguration, Biden says: 'I am not afraid'

Source: NBC News

President-elect Joe Biden said Monday he was “not afraid” of being sworn into office next week, amid vows from right-wing extremists to return to Washington for the inauguration.

“I am not afraid to take the oath outside,” Biden told reporters during brief remarks after he received his second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Biden’s inauguration is slated to occur exactly two weeks after a violent mob of President Donald Trump's supporters stormed the Capitol at Trump, causing widespread damage and leading to at least five deaths.

Biden added that he wanted rioters who engaged in sedition to "be held accountable."

He would be in the bunker, hiding under the furniture with armed guards.

I can't believe the cowardice we are seeing everywhere from that side of the aisle.

I'm STILL for swearing in from an undisclosed location. Bag the pomp and circumstance! We don't know what's coming. Snipers? IEDs? Drone weapons? Plus, the inside threats have yet to be identified. If Biden et al still insist on wearing targets on their heads at an outdoor affair, they need to be outfitted from head to foot in Kevlar.

My opinion only, of course.

He needs to be protected as the reich wing Nazis are coming for him and trying to kill him to stop his inauguration. The same murderous right wing seditionists in the Pentagon and the Head of the Capitol Police are still in office to facilitate this major tragedy. Biden needs to be very careful and have way more security than he thinks he will need as what happened last week was the dress rehearsal for the planned coup of 1/20. Even FB came out with announcement that the inauguration was being targeted and mayhem has already been planned and will be implemented on that day,

I am. There has to be real protection for the whole inauguration. Hopefully all the seditionist in the capital police, military , secret service and congress will be tied up where they can't cause any trouble. I'll be holding my breath until it's over and then I can exhale the first time in five years.

I’m scared to death. This lunacy is all the result of the government winking at years of White Supremist terrorism.
