Dow Jones Rallies, Nasdaq Hits Record, As Biden Is Sworn In

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rallied, while the Nasdaq hit a record high, as President Joe Biden was sworn in.
Apple (AAPL), Microsoft (MSFT) and Salesforce.com (CRM) were among the best-performing blue chips. Meanwhile, FANG stocks Netflix (NFLX) and Google parent Alphabet (GOOGL) passed buy points.
Among EV stocks, Tesla (TSLA) was positive while Chinese rival Nio (NIO) hit reverse. But both were once again outperformed by General Motors (GM).
Biden was sworn in at noon ET. During his inauguration speech, he called for an end to "uncivil war."
