7,000 National Guardsmen to remain in Washington through mid-March

Source: ABC News

Up to 7,000 National Guardsmen will remain in Washington for about seven more weeks to assist federal law enforcement agencies concerned over potential domestic disturbances, the Guard's top general said.

"We're looking at probably mid-March right now," Gen. Daniel Hokanson told reporters on Saturday.

The size of that force can be adjusted depending on requests from local law enforcement agencies, he added. Whether the remaining guardsmen will continue to be armed will be decided by federal law enforcement.

were not really needed during the inaugural nor are they being housed correctly. It is true they were among those sent out of the Capitol building who later bunked in a parking garage, but that's only an excuse by Turncoat to undermine national security. I expect we will see other GOP governors do the same as a public rebuke of the new president.

Our new Governor was the state rep when congress met and voted over the acceptance of the electoral college results. Naturally the asshole voted against acceptance and has made Trumpanzee sounds since that time about rolling back state laws such as same day registration and city ordinances protecting LGBT rights. He's the same RW jerk who body-slammed a journalist after being asked a typical question during his run for Representative.
