Nebraska priest who said he performed exorcism at U.S. Capitol apologizes, explains actions

Source: Omaha World Herald

By Alia Conley

The Nebraska priest who told a videographer that he had performed an exorcism at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 said during Mass at his church Sunday that the videographer, whom he called anti-Catholic, had misrepresented his comments through editing.

Some former parishioners at St. Michael Catholic Church in Central City who have longstanding concerns about the Rev. David Fulton were further angered, and a representative of the Archdiocese of Omaha said the church was seriously examining the “internal personnel matter.”

Fulton delivered his homily after the day’s Bible reading — which happened to be about Jesus expelling unclean spirits from a man — and then addressed his attendance at the pro-Trump rally in Washington, D.C.

But before reading the apology that Fulton said Omaha Archbishop George Lucas told him to recite, Fulton offered his view.

In a video taken in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6, the Rev. David Fulton, a pastor in Central City and Fullerton, told a videographer that he performed an exorcism at the U.S. Capitol.

I can't exactly be sure of all the words, but this would represent a degree of planning, of course.

It's taken from a December 19th trump tweet that said, "Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be There. Will Be Wild!" (my bold)

That the attempted coup d'état was planned, organized, and funded by BENEDICT DOTARD and his idiotic sycophants.

I pray (in some way) the Democratic House members making the case have so many facts that the repubs can't turn a blind eye to the crimes.

The case is ROCK SOLID. The only thing more sure than Doturds treason, is the Repukes desire to live in a dictatorship.
Blind eye?? More like "If the Fascism don't fit, you MUST AQUIT"....

They WANT Doturd as dictator. It's not a bug, it's a feature.

So regardless his motive, maybe he inadvertently did something good.
Must be so embarrassing for members of his church.

It's 1,500 miles away.
So, he went 1,500 miles to take a "short trip" to attend an event where violence occurred.
He could have so easily kept his dumbass home!
And, how radical does one have to be to turn off regularly church going Catholics in 2021?
