North Korea test-fires ballistic missiles in message to US

Source: AP

By KIM TONG-HYUNG

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea on Thursday test-fired its first ballistic missiles since President Joe Biden took office as it expands its military capabilities and increases pressure on Washington while nuclear negotiations remain stalled.

Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said North Korea’s resumption of ballistic testing threatens “peace and safety in Japan and the region,” and that Tokyo will closely coordinate with Washington and Seoul on the North’s military activities.

South Korean Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong, after meeting his Russian counterpart in Seoul, expressed “deep concern” and urged the North to uphold its commitments for peace. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called for a swift resumption of dialogue to resolve the standoff with North Korea.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said the two short-range missiles were fired at 7:06 a.m. and 7:25 a.m. on the North’s eastern coast and flew 450 kilometers (279 miles) on an apogee of 60 kilometers (37 miles) before landing in the sea.

TV screens showi a news program reporting about North Korea's missiles with file footage at an electronic shop in Seoul, South Korea, Thursday, March 25, 2021. Each president since the fall of the Berlin Wall has said that, and none have.

Because each seems to have followed a policy of semi-appeasement because their handlers, the Chinese Government (for whom the North Korean government HATES with a passion) refuses to tell their dog to sit, and their dog wouldn't listen even if they were told to sit.

And with Xi Jinping (or as I call him Emperor Xi the Flawless), the NK government is emboldened because Xi really is a Chinese version of Donald Trump. Even my wife says he speaks like Donald Trump when he doesn't have a speech in front of him (my wife is a Chinese national who HATES that man).

had not split Korea in two after WWII. Korea was not our enemy during the war. But then we screwed Vietnam, our ally, also.

You launch one missile to show your "power," we launch ten. There is a reason Jabba the Kim never leaves North Korea, except for a place with spineless leaders or to meet someone that can protect him (like *****). He may be a head of state, but he will be arrested probably on the spot for crimes against humanity.

The NK army may psychotically follow him, but from what NK refugees told me when I lived in Seoul, the NK people are so brutalized, marginalized, and terrified, all they need is to be free of the Kim family in their minds (arresting him would do it), and they would be in open revolt. With every member of the NK "Party," there are fifteen that aren't. And they can't kill them all.
