Pro-Trump Pastor Mario Murillo Says God Wants Christians to 'Terrify National Democrat Leaders'
Source: Newsweek
Pro-Trump Evangelist Mario Murillo has claimed that God is calling for Christians to "terrify national Democrat leaders."
During a sermon shared to Youtube by Destiny Image and surfaced by Right Wing Watch, Murillo told followers in Pasadena, California that "the Lord wants the prophetic movement to take its stand in the arena."

"To barge open the doors of influence and say, 'We belong here. Mayor, we belong here. Governor, we belong here. Congressman, we belong here.' If you're going to try to legislate immorality, we're going to fight you with every last drop of the anointing of the almighty God,'" he continued.
Murillo urged followers to take "political and moral action" by terrifying Democrats and opposing the party's agenda.

(160,545 posts)John David Ashcroft (born May 9, 1942) is an American lawyer, lobbyist, songwriter and former politician who served as the 79th U.S. Attorney General (20012005), in the George W. Bush Administration. He later founded The Ashcroft Group, a Washington D.C. lobbying firm.[1]
Ashcroft previously served as Attorney General of Missouri (19761985), and as the 50th Governor of Missouri (19851993), having been elected for two consecutive terms in succession (a historical first for a Republican candidate in the state), and he also served as a U.S. Senator from Missouri (19952001). He had early appointments in Missouri state government and was mentored by John Danforth. He has written several books about politics and ethics. Since 2011 he sits on the board of directors for the private military company Academi (formerly Blackwater), has been a member of the Federalist Society, and is a professor at the Regent University School of Law, a conservative Christian institution affiliated with televangelist Pat Robertson.

(14,576 posts)What part of the Democrat's agenda does he so dislike? Pro-abortion? Pro-LGBTQ rights? These idiots have sold out Christ himself for these two issues.
What about ending the war in Afghanistan? Health care? Infrastructure? Massive influx of clean energy jobs - good union jobs? Expanded Social Security? Lowering the age for Medicare eligibility? Strengthening the safety nets?
How about Harris being sent to Guatemala, Honduras and other Central American countries to work with them to address the issues causing people to flee here seeking asylum? Doesn't he think that is a decent idea?
Funny how Biden and the Democrats are a force for good, a force that wants to enact policies that materially benefit the American people.
What do these evangelical lizards even stand for? Salvation? Fall to their knees, say the sinner's prayer, and be 'forgiven' but still be a dirt bag because 'by grace are you saved?'
And what about this world? The environment? All the other life on the planet?

(658 posts)to those who will listen to him. Just like Fox "news", MSNBC, CNN, etc... Some people know how to gain and keep an audience, and they're doing a fine job of it. The outcome is divide. They're all making a great profit, but at a great cost.
What needs to happen is the government needs to re-enforce laws that help separate church and state. If a religious leader is preaching the gospel of politics, they need to lose their tax exemption and they need to be scrutinized regularly with IRS financial audits. I believe that will lead the leaders back to preaching the gospel instead of preaching the political.

(6,182 posts)In a word, nothing!
These pseudo-spiritual, right wing, fundamentalist anti Christians don't know God at all.
I find it disgusting that guys like him have no trouble putting their words in God's mouth.
His words sound more like something coming from the mouth of the Lord of Darkness than the one true God.

(2,692 posts)The Al Qaeda morons use the Koran to justify murder and terror.
The Fascist-Christian morons use the Bible to justify murder and terror.
So, completely different!
Similarities:
Both preach blind hatred.
Neither pay taxes.
If and when any of this mans flock take him up on his call for christian terrorism, I hope the good lord sends a messenger to accompany him to the edge of the pit of hell, and kick him a powerful blow for justice and virtue in his self-righteous, anti-christian ass, sending him screaming to his true lord and master in the fires below. I truly do.
