Two people were killed and up to 25 people wounded in a mass shooting at a concert early Sunday morning in Northwest Miami-Dade, officials say. One of those injured is in critical condition, according to police.
The shooting started after midnight at a concert at a billiards hall in the 7600 block of Northwest 186th Street, an unincorporated area of the county west of Miami Gardens, Miami-Dade Police Director Alfredo Freddy Ramirez said.
Some concert-goers where outside when a white Nissan Pathfinder pulled up, Ramierz said. Three unidentified people stepped out of the SUV with assault rifles and handguns and began shooting into the crowd.

This is the second major shooting in the Miami area over the Memorial Day weekend. Late Friday into Saturday, one person was killed and six others wounded in a drive-by shooting in the Wynwood area of Miami.

Have psychologists weighed in? In any comprehensive, meaningful way.

Three people got out of an SUV and began shooting indiscriminately into the crowd, on 7630 NW 186 Street, police said, adding that investigators were hunting for the suspects.
Several patrons were standing outside a "scheduled event" at an establishment on 186th Street to the west of Miami Gardens when the shooting took place.

On Friday night, a drive-by shooting in Wynwood left one dead and six wounded. Authorities were alerted by ShotSpotter, an audible detection system that relays the sound of gunfire.
On Sunday morning, a law enforcement source said officers who arrived to find victims lying in the road outside the rented party venue likened the scene to a war zone.
With almost all pandemic restrictions lifted, visitors have swelled numbers in Miami, a popular vacation destination, for the Memorial Day weekend.
Police have not said if they believe the shootings are linked, but said that it appeared the victims were targeted in both attacks.
After the Friday incident, detectives found shell casings from at least two types of weapon.

Covid-19 might be less of a threat, but getting shot to death is still a stopper to going out for shopping, entertainment, education, and working.
Damn the killers to hell.
