'Kraken' Sanctions Hearing: Lin Wood Blames Sidney Powell In Attempt To Evade Punishment
Source: Forbes
Wood claimed he did not know his name was being put on the lawsuit and said he had only told Powell more broadly if she needed my help I would help her from a trial lawyer standpoint in any of her post-election lawsuits, but did not know about the Michigan lawsuit until after it was filed.
Powell disputed Woods account, saying she did specifically ask Mr. Wood for his permission, though she acknowledged there may have been a misunderstanding.
City of Detroit attorney David Fink called Woods assertions blatantly false and pointed out he had served Wood in December with an opportunity to withdraw from the case and Wood had bragged about his involvement on social media.

Justice matters.

She asked very pointed questions about parts of the suit: did any lawyer review this, and did you ask any questions. The answer was either no or we didn't have to. She wasn't pleased.
Lin wood is trying to weasle out, but she didn't show her hand, just gave him the opportunity to submit a brief.
All briefs are due in 2 weeks. She limited them to either 10 or 25 pages. She indicated she would allow a brief response to briefs from all sides.
She isn't allowing this to drag on. Probably 2 weeks for briefs, a week for response, and then her ruling.
My guess it will brutal. But, I'm not a lawyer or any kind of legal scholar. But if I were the subject of her questions and responses, I'd be looking for my next line of work.

(24,303 posts)is absolutely meaningless. It would be perfectly just for any judge to consider everything they say is a lie. They have built this reputation themselves and now they should live with it. I wouldn't believe Lin Wood or Sydney Powell if they told me today was Monday.

Not that I've ever been in one of those establishments but I have a fascination for Storyville and the "professors" who were the progenitors of jazz in New Orleans.
