The positive rapid tests bring the total to five who have contracted COVID-19.

“All of the HDC Members who tested positive are feeling good, with no symptoms or only mild symptoms,” a release from the House Democratic Caucus said.

All members and staff were provided daily rapid tests as a precautionary measure after they learned three members tested positive for COVID-19 in the days prior.

2. They were tested. Most of us vaccinated don't test even with mild symptoms. So probably

lots of us have it and don't know. So some vaccinated of us are sharing the virus with the morons who aren't vaxxed. We don't want that to happen. But, it's gotta be happening.

It's ok to take whatever precautions you think are needed to protect yourself, but the data is what the data is regarding how the current vaccines perform against SARS-CoV2 and its mutations.

6. No or mild symptoms is a good sign

that the vaccines are super effective even for unmasked red state Dems. This is the majority of breakthrough cases. It's mostly immune compromised, diabetic, or elderly folks who need to be hospitalized.

10. Since the rest were exposed, this is a perfect excuse for them

to run out the clock on this special session. If Abbott calls another one, he's going to face rebellion from Republicans, also, who need to attend to their usual businesses. The Texas Lege is a part time gig by design, meeting during slack agricultural seasons. The pay and per diems aren't going to make up for lost time on the ranches or in their businesses.
